Summer 2008

Jay and I got married in the summer of 2008.  It was a memorable event.  300 of our closest family and friends.  I love this man.  I wanted a party, I wanted to celebrate and that we did!   I know unconditional love with him.  He is the kindest, most generous person I have ever met.

Sadie did make the Wedding,  unfortunately she didn't make the honeymoon.

Jay and I decided that we would forgo a Honeymoon and travel to Vieques, Puerto Rico in the winter.  Tracy, who there is no easy explanation for (how he fits into our lives, just know he does) decided that wouldn't do. He made arrangements for our whole church congregation to spend a week in a cabin in the Adirondacks.

"Our Congregation", The Church of Us , later to become the Church of the Blue Durango consists of Jay and I, Tracy and... , Mark and Maurya and who ever else we invite to join us on any given day.  There is lots more to tell of The Church of the Blue Durango, but I'll get to that at another time.

We spent the week following our wedding in the beautiful Adirondacks, near Gore Mountain.  Just so happens there is a Garnet Mine there.  I love love love garnets.   We had great fun at the mine.  We spent a little time there almost each day.  I love a good scavenger hunt.  Hunting for garnets was fun!

In addition to garnet hunting, we took a beautiful train ride, went to a rodeo and spent lots of time drinking, laughing and relaxing.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from that week!
