Libby & Mike

Last weekend Kristen and I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon and evening with Libby & Mike, their family and about 130 of their closest friends.  What a blast!  Forget the hot, steamy weather, it didn't ruin the fun.  We're kind of used to it now.  Right... now we're used to it and before you know it ~ winter will return to western NY.  Sorry,  I know the thought of winter. Yuck...  I'm an Island Girl.  Okay, so a Long Island Girl but still an Island Girl!  Perhaps someday a PR Island Girl... hey, a girl can dream!

Anyway, back to Libby & Mike.  I'm glad we met them.  Libby grew up just a stone's throw away.  Really right down the street from us.  Imagine that ~ such a great family and I am just meeting them now.  I told her Mom the other day I love them so, I want to adopt them!   They are just the sweetest couple! Living in a small town, usually you know most people.  Guess there are just more folks I have to meet here.

Last weekend they celebrated their wedding and asked Kristen and I to document it.  (like that?  classy way of saying take the Wedding Pictures!)  Of course this great couple got married in the sweetest little church you ever want to see.  Libby's Mom told me it was the church she (Libby that is) was Baptised in.  It is just a beautiful little church.

We really had a great time.  I loved every minute of it!  How lucky I am.  I was able to take a job photographing the wedding two of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet, met a bunch of really interesting, funny, crazy people...had a great time to boot.    Love it!  Life doesn't get much better.... Oh yeah I forgot the best part... I did all this with my best friend and favorite niece, Kristen.

So enough about me and Home Town Weddings.  Here are some of our favorite shots of Libby & Mike's Wedding. I hope you like them as much as we do.  (not only Libby & Mike but the pics as well!)

I love these two!!!

Such a sweet, beautiful family.

Thank you Libby and Mike for letting us be a small part of your beautiful day.  Please keep in touch & come visit when you're back in town.

Desa Rae & Joe's Engagement photos

A few weeks ago I met some new friends, Desa Rae & Joe.   Jay and I are shooting their wedding in September.  This is Jay's first booking.  He did such a good job!  I love these two.  They are so sweet and easy going.  I can't wait!

We spent some time with them taking pics at The Five Arches Bridge in Avon.  They were both really good sports.  At one point, I had them sitting in a spot that angled down behind them.  Opps, sorry.  It kind of made it hard for them to balance.  They did it and didn't complain.

Thanks You two for being so willing to roll (hahah) with it!  The pictures look beautiful!  I can't wait for the Wedding!  Here is a look at a few of my favorites .

     See you in September!!!!!

Kelly & Justin July 23, 2011

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting my good friend Maurya's daughter, Kelly's wedding.   Yikes, it hit me, I am old enough to have close friends with daughters who get married.  Yep,  while that has been happening for a while, it wasn't until I saw how beautiful and poised and grown up Kelly had been on her Wedding Day that it hit me.

I am so proud to have been able to shoot this beautiful couple.   I must add, it was one hot Wedding Party... Looks as well as heat.

It was probably one of the hottest days of the year in Western New York.  I'd like to think the heat just added to the everyone's glow.

And Kelly.... I have always thought Maurya had two of the most beautiful girls in the world.  Well just take a look at Kelly in these pictures.  Oh my goodness she is stunning!  (Jess is as well!  ~ I can't wait to shoot your Wedding! ... ?)

Heat and all what a beautiful day!    Here's a peak as some of my favorite shots.

Thank you Kelly & Justin for letting me be a part of your day!  You have a beautiful family and an exciting road ahead of you.

I love you guys!!!!!!

Experimental photo's!!!!!!

Well, I know it has been a long time since I have been here. It's been crazy and I find myself with very little down time lately.   I have gotten my new camera and I ohhhhh so love it!!!!!!!!  New Toys are always nice.  All the blogs I read say take pictures of what you love, challenge yourself.  Try to see things in a new way.... So, the night before last, I took Sadie and we went out back.  I love Sadie!!!!!  So we took some different pics of her....

I love her so.....

While out back, we heard Jay's voice a few houses over, so Sadie and I decided to take a little walk and look for him.  We found him at Danny's...
Here, with camera in hand I decided to look at his garage a little differently.  Here's what I saw.  Kinda interesting.  I never saw these things before.  My favorite is of the guys in the office....

Danny & Jay working....
We'll play some more this weekend.  I love my husband, Sadie, Camera, and neighborhood!  Life is oh so good.........

We'll try not to be away so long.  Sadie and I are on our way outside to do some yard work.  Have a good one!

Mother's Day 2011.....

Another Mother's day....

I realize it's all a matter of mind set.  Sometimes I get my mind set and it drives me crazyyyyy.  I miss my sister, I miss my mother, I miss Gramma Austin and Gramma G.....

I know I am so lucky to have had these four incredible women in my life.  They are my rocks, my roll models, the women who made me who I am.  I love them oh so much.  I hope I have the best of each of them in me to honor their lives.  I try...

I realized lately, I am forgetting my Mom.... That's so sad to me.  I have pictures, thank goodness and I have her letters to my sister.... sometimes those make me crazy because I never got to have the adult to adult relationship with her that Carol had.  I'd like to think it would have been great!  Hey, it's all a matter of mind set and attitude right?

This weekend I was talking to my Dad's sister and she told me something that I never realized about my Mom.  Even though my Mom was very sick for most of my life,  she & my Dad were very careful never to talked about it around us.  Maybe that's why I never realized how sick she was.   Again, I learn something about the strength of my parents.  They never let us kids worry.  They let us live as happy a life as we could as long as we had them.

I miss them incredibly, I really only remember them through pictures and what I have been told.  I do remember the pain though and from that I know there is nothing that can ever happen to me that will hurt more than that.  I know I can live through anything ....

Okay, so this blog is about my pictures... If I know nothing else, I know life is about right now!  It's about the people in our life right now!  I love my life right now... I love the people in my life right now!!!!

I had the opportunity to spend the weekend with my nephew, Jason and his family.  Jason is kinda like my little brother.  It was great getting to spend so much time with them  and to have them almost all to myself!!!!  I love Jason, his wife Carol and their boys  Jamison and Colin!!!!!!  To top it all off....spending the weekend with them, gave me the perfect opportunity to play with my new camera!!!!

Here are some of my favorite shots from the weekend.... Tell me what you think...

These boys are just so much fun!!!!  Since I spent the last four days with Jason and his family, I left my little family home to fend for themselves.  So, time to go spend some time with Jay and Sadie.....

Hope you like the pictures!!!!  Check back soon... I won't be gone so long this time!
